WhatsApp is introducing a new color scheme to its Android version. The new color scheme looks much brighter and is available for users to experience through WhatsApp’s Beta program. It carries a much more vibrant theme with it and makes the platform look much more welcoming. According to WhatsApp Beta tracker, WABetaInfo, this change is available for users to experience WhatsApp’s Android Beta version of 2.21.18.1.
The color scheme sits well with both the themes of the Android WhatsApp. This includes the light theme as well as the dark theme. The app carries the same token green color; however, it is much brighter and warmer than previously used dull green. A user can easily distinguish both if they compare them side by side. The update also introduces new icons and a different shade of color for text bubbles in a chat.
Unfortunately, for iPhone users, this new design feature is just limited to Android smartphones and would not be seen for Apple smartphones for quite some time. However, Android users can experience the new color shades as soon as possible by registering for WhatsApp’s Beta program.
The particular update also brings back the ability to check the date the chat group was created on WhatsApp. For some reason, the following feature disappeared from WhatsApp, and people could not check who started a specific chat group and on what date. WhatsApp removed it for some odd reason; however, it is back on the platform under popular demand.
The new features are out there, and they are minor enhancements to the platform. They improve WhatsApp’s application for Android visually and introduce various changes to the design of chat bubbles, background, chat screen, and status bar. As well as improve the quality of life of the users. These new color schemes available for WhatsApp’s dark and light themes increase the contrast between the chat bubbles and the background, which helps increase visibility on the platform.
