Indian Apple Music subscribers have shared the screenshots on their Twitter accounts regarding the new features (Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos) added to the Apple Music app and these same features are also being enjoyed by the Android beta Apple Music users in the country for free. Apple India has also reworked its website and has shared all the features that are added to the app.
The fuss is all about Lossless and Dolby Atmos features arriving for Apple Music users in the country. The Cupertino based tech company back in May informed that it will bring Lossless Audio, Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio assistance in the Apple Music for free. Apple Music subscribers from the entire world were waiting for this detail to come out and then during the WWDC 2021 in June, Apple rolled out the feature for iPhone, iPad, iMac and Apple TV 4K.
However, the Apple India website displayed that the features will soon make it to the country and recently the new update on the website indicates that the feature is finally here. The lossless feature will subsist the highest resolution of an audio file while the other Dolby Atmos will make users feel like they are submerged into the Music and as if the music has surrounded them, the feeling will be more like how one feels while listening to music with speakers on at all angles.
Some users shared the availability of the feature in the Apple Music app in the country. Some users lacked a few features while some others had them all. Sahil Mohan Gupta via his tweet provided the Apple Music users with the information that the feature is compatible only for a few albums; a Lossless icon was spotted in some selected albums. Users can turn on the Lossless Audio feature by visiting the Audio Quality settings and then selecting the streaming quality.
The admin of Headphone Zone in a private group, The Indian Audiophile Forum Facebook group shared the information regarding the availability of the feature in the Android beta version of the Apple Music and the options that the users can choose from; High Quality, Lossless and High-Resolution Lossless.
Several tweets by Apple Music users pointed towards the presence of the Dolby Atmos icon under some albums. The company is yet to detail us on the functionality of these features added recently to the Apple Music app.
