iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro with BMW M Motorsport color variants launched in China: Specifications & Price

Chinese smartphone company iQOO recently launched their latest range of smartphones, namely the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro. The two new smartphones are launched as successors to the previous iQOO 7 series launched by the company. Both the smartphones feature a bezel-less display with a punch-hole housing for the front camera housing.

For the color variants, iQOO partnered with BMW M Motorsport, which is BMW’s high-performance car manufacturing department. The iQOO 8 comes in two color finishes, the Legendary Edition with BMW M Motorsport color option and a Black Color variant, which sports a very stylish carbon fiber look. In contrast, the iQOO 8 Pro sports the Legendary Edition and BMW M Track Version color finish. The iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro will go on sale from August 24th and August 26th onwards, respectively; however, the smartphones are exclusive to China. Unfortunately, there are no updates regarding its launch for the international markets, including India.

iQOO 8 Price & Specifications:

iQOO 8 comes with a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that supports an impressive refresh rate of 120Hz. Making it a super viable option for mobile gaming. Additionally, the screen of the iQOO 8 comes with a 10-bit display that is capable of showcasing up to a billion color shades and more. One of the most noticeable features of the iQOO 8 is the powerhouse of a processor that it uses, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. For security, the smartphone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition support.

The iQOO 8 runs on the Origin OS 1.0 based on Android 11 and features two storage options. The price of the smartphone is set accordingly to the two storage options that it is available in, which are 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage priced at CNY 3,799 (Rs. 43,600) and the whopping 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage priced at CNY 4,199 (Rs. 48,200). The smartphone’s battery is decently sized at 4,350mAh; however, it supports an outstanding 120W fast charging speed.

Additionally, the iQOO 8 comes with a 113MP ultra-wide sensor and a 13MP camera specifically designed for portrait photography. The front camera is a 16MP selfie camera housed in the center-aligned punch-hole of the smartphone’s display.

Under connectivity options, the smartphone carries support for 5G, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone’s sensors include an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and an e-compass.

iQOO 8 Pro Price & Specifications:

The iQOO 8 Pro is priced way higher than the iQOO 8 and does pack a lot more within itself. It comes with a 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED Display, which houses an impressive refresh rate of 120Hz.
