Motorola has launched three new smartphones: The Motorola Edge 20 Pro, Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Lite. As part of their Edge 20 series, the company has launched these three smartphones with the Edge 20 Pro being the flagship at Rs. 61,800 and the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite being the mid-rangers priced at Rs. 44,100 and Rs. 30,900 respectively. These smartphones have been launched as successors to the Edge series from last year and are set to offer a proper stock android experience to the consumers with My UX.
Motorola Edge 20 Pro Specifications:
In the Motorola Edge 20 series, the Edge 20 Pro is the flagship model and it also has the same 6.7 inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate as the previous model, but now it also supports Amazon HDR. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM with the Adreno 650 GPU, as well as 256 GB storage of UFS 3.1 It packs a triple rear camera setup with 108MP primary shooter, 16MP secondary ultra wide sensor and an 8MP sensor. For selfies, it contains a 32MP front camera with a f/2.3 lens. In terms of video resolution, it includes [email protected]/60 fps, 8K @24fps and 1080p @ 30/60/240/960 fps. It is protected by the corning gorilla glass 5 with a glass back. Connectivity options include GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and the smartphone also includes a fingerprint sensor
For photos and videos, and also has the same sensors as the Edge 20 but includes 5x higher resolution optical zoom. It includes the same sensors, but with higher resolution optical zoom and 50X super zoom telephoto lens instead of the 3x resolution 30x Super zoom telephoto lens. Video capabilities include 8K at 24fps and 4K 30/60 fps. It supports 30W turbo power fast charging and has a 4500 mAh battery.

With Android 11, the Edge 20 also has My UX an 6.7 inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate. HDR+ Certification, 10 bit colour and DCI-P3 colour space coverage are the other features included among the rest. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G SoC is at the heart of the device as its processor with the Adreno 620 as its GPU, which offers upto 8GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone packs a triple rear camera setup which includes a 108MP primary shooter, 16MP secondary ultra wide sensor and an 8MP third sensor. With a 4000 mAh battery, it is said to support 30W turbo power fast charging. It includes 4K @30fps and 1080p at 30/60/120/240 fps. For selfies, it contains a 25MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.The smartphone contains 3x high-res optical zoom and 30x super zoom telephoto lens.
5G, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS are some of the connectivity possibilities available on the smartphone. The company claims that the smartphone can provide upto 8 hours of power in under 10 minutes of charging. One of the thinnest device available in the Indian market, the phone is just 6.9mm thick.
Motorola Edge 20 Lite Specifications:
TheEdge 20 Lite contains similar features to the Edge 20 with the likes of 6.7inch OLED display and the refresh rate drops to 90hz. The phone contains a 108MP primary shooter in the camera and 8MP ultra wide angle lens and 2MP depth sensor are the two other cameras apart from the primary shooter. Video resolutions include 4K @30 fps and 1080p @ 30/60/120 fps. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC and includes the Mali G-57 Mc3 as the GPU, along with 8GB RAM that is paired with 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is said to support 30W Turbo power fast charging with a 5000 mAh battery. It includes a fingerprint sensor at the back and supports bluetooth 5.0.
An exact launch date or official confirmation regarding the pricing or specs have not been shared yet by the company but it will reportedly go live in Europe, Middle East and Asia in the next month of August 2021.
