OnePlus 9RT expected to launch in October: Expected Specifications

Chinese tech giant OnePlus is currently preparing for a rumored launch of their latest OnePlus 9RT; however, it will only be launched in India and China. The OnePlus 9RT will be the smartphone that releases in October instead of the initially rumored OnePlus 9T. The 9RT will be a minor upgrade from the previously launched OnePlus 9R, and reportedly OnePlus isn’t currently focusing on the high-end smartphone category, especially with the Nord 2 & Nord CE launch.

Another report from Android Central also states that the OnePlus 9RT will be the cheapest variant of the OnePlus 9 series. Additionally, it will sport many specifications from the previously launched OnePlus 9R and the OnePlus Nord 2. And like the OnePlus 9R, the smartphone will only be limited to the Indian & Chinese markets.

OnePlus 9RT expected specifications:

As the hardware of the OnePlus 9RT is quite similar to the OnePlus 9R, it will come with the same AMOLED display that provides a refresh rate of 120Hz and will be sized at 6.65-inches. And might run on the OxygenOS 12 that has taken many bits and pieces from the ColorOS. The smartphone will be the first OnePlus phone to come with Android 12 out of the box; however, unfortunately, the smartphone would not sport the Material You design, so the UI of the OnePlus 9RT will be pretty similar to Android 11.

The OnePlus 9RT will sport a battery sized at 4500mAh and come with OnePlus’ infamous 65W fast-charging, the same as the 9R. Even the processor of the 9RT will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, like the OnePlus 9R.

However, the OnePlus 9RT’s camera will upgrade from the OnePlus 9R as the expected smartphone will carry a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. The other sensors include a 16MP ultra-wide, another 16MP wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP sensor. The front camera might comprise a punch-hole design 32MP camera.

Under connectivity options, it is rumored to include a dual-sim setup, support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-F-, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Currently, the smartphone’s specifications are rumored, and there are no solid leaks on the storage specifications of the smartphone.

Concludingly, there has been no official information on the 9RT. Still, mostly it will be priced according to the mid-range smartphone category and will only be launched in India and China. The eager consumers have to wait till October. Fortunately, there will be multiple leaks from here onwards, so stay tuned as the 9RT looks quite promising.
