After the Chinese release of the smartphone, Poco is expected to launch the Poco F3 GT in India very soon. Its major rival at the moment in the Indian market would be the OnePlus Nord 2 5G and Poco made this clear through their social media post on Twitter. In the post Poco takes a jab at OnePlus and its slogan by cancelling out the words “Much everything you could ask for” and adds to it, ” and a lot more”. By doing this, the Poco is trying to call the OnePus Nord 2 just ‘AN-Ordinary’ phone.
This is also not the first time Poco has mocked OnePlus. In 2018, during the launch of OnePlus 6T, the company had also mocked the strategy and price of the Flagship device. The OnePlus Nord is to be released in India on July 22 and it gives still more time to Poco to take more jabs at OnePlus.
All rivalries aside, what’s common between these two smartphones is that both of them are going to be powered by MediaTek’s flagship chipset, Dimensity 1200. OnePlus has also confirmed that this is the first device from their company which is going to feature a MediaTek chipset and Anuj Sharma, Poco’s India director, said that the phone will come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.
Reports suggest that Poco F3 GT will be a rebranded phone of the Chinese version that was released earlier during the year in China and the Nord 2 is going to be the successor of the OnePlus Nord, which was very successful in India on its launch in 2019. Both of them are going to include a triple rear camera setup and fast charging as well.
The Poco F3 GT is expected to have 5065 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support and a 6.67 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide lens and a 2MP macro lens is touted to feature in the triple rear camera.
As for the OnePlus Nord 2, it is expected to feature a 6.4inch AMOLED FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. It will support 30W fast charging and will very likely feature a triple rear camera setup as stated earlier.
Both phones are scheduled to launch in the coming months, the confirmed price of the OnePlus Nord 2 is Rs 25,000 but could launch at a higher price as the OnePlus Nord CE 5G has increased the threshold to Rs. 30,000. As for the Poco F3 GT, it is expected to be priced at Rs 23,000 from the day of its launch.
