After the Chinese company Tecno launched Camon 17 and the Camon 17 Pro in the Indian market, they have now released the highly anticipated Tecno Pova 2 as the successor to previously released Tecno Pova. The Tecno Pova was launched in the Chinese markets in mid 2020 and now looks to expand in the Indian markets with it’s successor. The Tecno Pova 2 is released in two different variants in the country and it is now available for purchase in India onwards through Amazon. On June 3, the company launched the same device in the Philippines as well.
In terms of specifications, the Tecno Pova 2 will run on Android 11 based HiOS and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC which is collaborated with a Mali G52 GPU. 90% screen to body ratio, 480 nits peak brightness and 386 ppi density are some of the display features included in the smartphone. It packs a 6.95 inch FHD+ display and a resolution of 1080×2460 pixels paired with 180 Hz touch sampling rate.
Proximity sensor, Ambient Light sensor, G sensor and a Gyroscope are the included sensors that the smartphone contains. Measuring 173.32×78.78×9.62mm, the connectivity possibilities of the device are 4G LTE, Bluetooth, USB OTG and USB Type-C as well. The fingerprint sensor is side mounted on the device and the system turbo 2.0 increases the gaming performance of the device. Offering upto 49 hours of calling time and 233 days of music playback, the phone contains a whopping battery of 7000mAh and supports 18W flash fast charging.
For the camera, it packs a Quad rear camera setup with a 48MP primary shooter with f/1.79 aperture, 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro sensor and a fourth camera for which we have no information at the moment. For selfies and video chats, the smartphone packs an 8MP AI sensor with f/2.0 lens which can host 2K video recording and 2x zoom.
The smartphone comes in two versions from which the first one contains a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage priced at Rs. 10,999 and the other version of 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is priced at Rs. 12,999. Dazzle Black, Energy blue and Polar silver are the colour schemes available for the smartphone.
