Vivo launched two of its newest smartphones, the Vivo S10 and the Vivo S10 Pro in China yesterday on the 15th of July, Thursday. The smartphones belonging to the Vivo S-series are amongst the most awaited smartphones and have travelled a long way through leaked appearances online and rumours. These smartphones are the successors of the Vivo S09 series that came out earlier this year. Vivo introduced these awaited smartphones and announced that they will be available for purchase by July 23rd in China. Before moving on to the specifications of the smartphones let’s discuss the price range both Vivo S10 and Vivo S10 Pro are placed into. They fall into the upper mid-range category of smartphones and due to the variation in specifications, they have differences in their prices. Vivo S10 is available in 2 different storage variants- The first, 8GB of RAM and 128 GB storage and carries a price tag of CNY 2,799 or 32,300INR and the other with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB storage carries a price tag of CNY 2,999 or 34,600 INR. However, Vivo S10 Pro is available in a single storage variant of 12GB RAM with 256 GB storage and is worth 3,399 CNY or 39,200 INR.
The Vivo S10 smartphones have a similar slim and flat design with a Full HD+ 6.44-inches SUPER AMOLED display paired with a refresh rate of 90Hz. They also come with HDR10+ support; moreover, the S10 Pro model has an additional NFC support which is not there in the Vivo S10. They have an Octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 1100 SoC processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Both of them house a battery of 4,050mAh with 44W fast charging.
Now moving onto the camera the Vivo S10 has a 64-megapixel primary camera sensor but the Vivo S10 Pro has a primary sensor of 108-megapixel. Both of them have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The front selfie camera of both of these models has a dual-camera setup with a primary sensor of 44-megapixel and an ultra-wide shooter of 8-megapixel. The smartphones will have 4 colour options to choose from – Lime, Gradient, Velvet White and Black.
The S10 series of Vivo will be sold in China starting the 23rd of July and as of yet, there is no update on when to expect the launch of the S10 series in other countries.
