Xiaomi increases price of Redmi Note 10 Pro again: Check latest pricing

Chinese smartphone company, Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 10 Pro back in March 2021. The smartphone was originally priced at Rs 16,999 for the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant but now, there is a hike of Rs 1000 in the price leading the Redmi Note 10 Pro to cost Rs 17,999 now. This price change is confirmed by Xiaomi itself as the company updated the device’s price on its official website. And the device is available for purchase from Amazon as well as on company’s official website at increased price. Moreover, reports suggest that Xiaomi’s smart TVs will also get some hike in their price soon.

The technology players, including ourselves, have suffered from this along with the unprecedented rise in shipping prices, as stated by Xiaomi on this subject. Furthermore, the company states that some of their products have been subject to price increases, despite attempts to absorb rising costs.

However, the price for Redmi Note 10 Pro 64 GB storage variant is still the same and only the Redmi Note 10 Pro 128 GB storage variant got a price hike of Rs 1000 from Rs 16,999 to Rs 17,999.

Talking about the Redmi Note 10 Pro, it comes with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and is supported by a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor and comes with 6 GB RAM and 64/128 GB storage that can be further expanded up to 512 GB. It is backed up by a 5,020mAh battery supported by 33W fast charging.

On the rear, it features a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5 MP super macro sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. Whereas it has a 16 MP sensor on the front camera for selfie and video calling purposes.

The major reason for this increase in the price of the Redmi Note 10 can probably be the increase in the price of component units used in the smartphone. According to a report by India Today Tech, a large number of component units including chipsets, batteries, display panels that are being utilized in smartphones and other smart gadgets have got an increase in their price. Considering this information, it will not be a surprise if we see some more smartphones getting a price hike in future.
